Symbol works offers government grants to assist companies with tuition payment. 

3/7/11: NEW GRANT UPDATE

Companies located in Cook County & Lake County are eligible for up to 90% of tuition reimbursement before July 2011.

• Companies with less than 50 employees receive 10% reimbursement
• Companies with 50-100 employees receive 75% reimbursement
• Companies with 100 employees receive 90% reimbursement.

2011/2012: The Employer Training Investment Program (ETIP) 

The Employer Training Investment Program (ETIP) supports Illinois workers’ efforts to upgrade their skills in order to remain current in new technologies and business practices, enabling companies to remain competitive, expand into new markets and introduce more efficient technologies into their operations.  ETIP grants may reimburse Illinois companies for up to 50 percent of the cost of training their employees. 

Illinois companies that are retraining/upgrading the skills of their existing workforce with Symbol Job Training, Inc. may be eligible for ETIP grants.
